What Are They Saying About Acer AR3700-U3002?
Many people has used this product, and many of them are very satisfied. Below you can read the review by BOGY"I needed a computer for my parents who basically do internet browsing and AOL email. The old tower that they had was huge and loud and finally died after several years of use. Having much luck with Acer's laptops I decided to go with this inexpensive PC alternative. Right out of the box, using the ethernet cable (Not WiFi), I was up and running in less than 5 minutes. Some have mentioned the keyboard and mouse that come with the unit are junk - really? The design is so clean and elegant - the hook-up; insert batteries, remove Bluetooth plug and insert into an empty USB port and then press 'connect' on the keyboard. Instant connection and functionality. The keys and mouse are very responsive. The range is excellent - why is this junk? Anyway, the unit itself is silent with no sound form the fan other than 3 seconds at start-up. I assume because I used the old monitor the mounting of the unit behind the monitor did not work. Maybe the newer monitors have this hook up but either way the stand mount is just fine. Here is where I am concerned - there is slight lag when accessing the internet - I assume it is the old modem and internet connection. This unit has a gigabit ethernet card and I know it is not receiving that type of feed from the cable modem. The unit has built-in wireless N which is nice if it were in my house but my parents have not yet gotten there yet. :)
NOTE:
It took several hours to update Windows - this is by far the worst part of the set-up but it is a Windows thing not Acer. The service pack I for WIdnows 7 alone took over an hour and a half to download and install. There were over 60 updates! Be prepared.

No CD/DVD player (but you can connect one via USB)
Slight lag - not sure if it is all of the updates
Can't seem to upgrade RAM - comes with 2GB DDR3 would like 4GB"
